Privacy Policy

Who we are

Pet Storybook Studio operates petstorymaker.com and produces personalized illustrated storybooks starring your pet. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and how to reach us. Questions or requests: ibuildwithai247365@gmail.com.

Information we collect

Account information (email address and authentication identifiers); intake details you enter about your pet (name, species, breed, coat, personality traits and adventure preferences); any reference photo you upload; the character bible, story text, illustrations and exported PDF files we generate for you; and purchase records including plan, entitlement status and redeemed access codes.

Why we use it

We use your account information to sign you in and attach your books and entitlements to you; intake details and reference photos to generate a consistent character and story; and purchase records to grant, verify and, where a refund or chargeback occurs, revoke access. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your data for advertising.

AI generation

Story planning and illustration generation are performed by third-party AI model providers reached through our hosting platform's AI gateway. Your intake details and reference material are transmitted to those providers solely to produce your book. We do not publish your pet's details or illustrations, and we do not use your book as public marketing material without asking you first.

Reference photos and generated files

Uploaded photos, illustrations and exported PDFs are held in private object storage and served through short-lived signed links scoped to your account. They are not listed publicly and are not reachable through guessable URLs. Database access is restricted by row-level security so only your account can read your books.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers, security codes and expiry dates are entered directly with Stripe — we never receive or store them. We retain only the identifiers needed to confirm a purchase, grant the correct entitlement and handle refunds or disputes.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that operate the service on our behalf: our application and database hosting platform, the AI model providers described above, and Stripe for payments. Each processes data for those purposes only. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Cookies and local storage

We use storage that is strictly necessary to run the site: a session cookie or token to keep you signed in, and browser local storage that saves your in-progress intake draft on your own device. We do not run advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How long we keep data

Books, illustrations and exports are kept while your account is active so you can re-download them. Deleting a book removes its stored illustrations and exports. Purchase and entitlement records are retained as long as needed for accounting, tax and dispute-handling obligations.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of your account and its books by emailing ibuildwithai247365@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to processing, request portability, or complain to your local data protection authority. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.

Children

The service is intended for adults. Books are often made for children, but accounts and purchases must be created and managed by someone 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and revise the date below. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
